In 1988, started a translation agency from home which, in 1997, won the DTI's North West Regional Award for help to Exporters - an award received from Bobby Charlton!

Now partly retired, working part time for ITL, the Manchester based agency who took over the business in 1999. Enjoying the fells and the grandchildren, involved with a local Oral History Project about the social and economic changes in the Dent, Sedbergh and Garsdale area since 1930.
