Never thought of Spike having an Irish accent at the time but can verify his father was born in Co Armagh (although moved to Bootle at age of 10) and his mother's maiden name was Moah (?Irish)
: I refer to the Top of the Form Special on BBC3 the other night - I never realised that Spike had an Irish accent. Whose memory is failing - mine or Geoffrey Wheeler's ?!
