Chief Archivist
Manchester Library & Information Service
Manchester City Council
My Dear Archivist,
It was with great, indeed eternal and heavenly, pleasure that we came upon your collection of images of our geat school. It was again inspirational to set eyes on that noble academic institution that fired and fuelled so many of our boys for the tasks that lay ahead of them in life. However, permit me to inform you that there are errors in the subtitling
1. The correct title of the school is
St. Augustine's Grammar School
2. The correct address of the school is
Sharston Mount,
Manchester
M22 4PJ
"St Augustines School (RC), Grammar and Technical School. At the junction of Altrincham Road and Stancliffe Road, Wythenshawe, Manchester" (sic) is ugly as well as factually and grammatically incorrect.
Please note that all mail to this address will be returned.
My staff and I would be happy to help if you have need of any further guidance in your erstwhile pursuit of the glory of our great school.
Asking your forebearance
I had the honour to be
Headmaster
The Rt Rev F J McGuiness,
STL (Rome), MA (Cantab)
